The Danville Single Moms group is headed by

Brenda Kilgore

Brenda was a single mom raising two sons for 15 years. She experienced all of what single moms go through - emotional, spiritual, and physical burnout, financial strain and limited career flexibility, stigma and judgment, vulnerability to abuse or unhealthy relationships, loneliness, single parenting guilt and stress. She is now married to a wonderful man who loves and cherishes her and supports her ministry. She has been involved with the Danville Single Moms Group for 7 years now and has worked tirelessly to create a community where through collaboration and support, single mothers can overcome challenges and thrive. Together, they share wisdom, encouragement, and motivation, creating a powerful bond that helps each member grow stronger.

Mom's Team.

The Moms' Team is guided by a compassionate and dedicated leadership team committed to empowering single mothers and strengthening their families. Our team creates a safe, supportive environment where women can openly share challenges, celebrate victories, and access the resources they need to thrive.

We lead discussions on the real-life issues single moms face—such as parenting, finances, relationships, time management, spiritual and emotional wellness, and more. Our goal is to offer understanding, encouragement, and practical solutions.

While single moms gather for their support group, a dedicated team of caring volunteers provides a safe, joyful, and enriching environment for their children. Our Children’s Care & Enrichment Team is made up of compassionate individuals who love working with kids and are committed to creating a space where every child feels valued, engaged, and excited to return.

Hospitality and Security Team.

Safety is a top priority. Our security team provides gentle, visible security throughout each meeting, helping maintain a calm, orderly, and secure environment. They assist with check-in, monitor the building and outdoor areas, and help ensure families feel protected and at ease.

The hospitality team prepares and serves delicious, kid-friendly meals and nutritious options for moms, ensuring that every family is fed and cared for. They create a warm, welcoming mealtime environment where everyone feels valued and included.
